The 'no' that doesn't escalate.
Why most boundary-setting fails — and the small reframe that changes everything.
Personalized parent coaching for the moments that feel impossible. Every family is unique — so is every plan we build together.
“After our second session, my house actually got quieter. I didn't believe it would.”
Sound familiar?
You've read the books. You've tried the strategies your friends swear by. But the meltdowns keep coming, the sibling fights are constant, and bedtime feels like a negotiation with a tiny lawyer who never sleeps.
Homework, screens, bedtime — the script never changes. And neither does the outcome.
You hear yourself saying things you swore you'd never say. Then you feel guilty for the rest of the day.
It's not just one child or one moment — it's the air in the house. And it's wearing everyone down.
You don't need more advice. You need a plan built for your family.
The Service
Every parent who comes to me is a unique client whose challenges deserve my best, most personal work. We don't follow a template — we build something that fits your home.
A 30-minute, no-cost conversation to understand your family, your child, and what's actually happening day to day.
Together we map the specific situations that aren't working — then design concrete tools and small homework assignments for the week.
Most families see real shifts between sessions 2 and 4. We continue at the pace that works — from a short series to ongoing support — until you no longer need me.
Between meetings you'll have access to me by text and phone for the moments when something is happening right now and you need a hand.
What changes
Fewer meltdowns, clearer expectations, follow-through that finally sticks.
A real connection with your child — not just a managed one.
The atmosphere shifts. Mornings get easier. Evenings get lighter.
Partners aligned. Siblings less at war. One team, one direction.
The children they're capable of becoming — given the right ground beneath their feet.
The most important investment you'll ever make isn't in a school, a tutor, or the next perfect schedule. It's in the relationship under your roof. Children grow up. The family you build with them is the long haul.

Meet Elinor
I'm Elinor, a parent coach and educator. For more than fifteen years I've worked with families — in schools, in clinics, in living rooms — on the specific, day-to-day challenges that no parenting book quite captures.
My approach is practical and unhurried. I don't believe in one-size advice. I believe in understanding the child in front of us, the parent doing the work, and the small adjustments that turn a hard week into a slightly easier one — and then a slightly easier one after that.
What I care about most: that every family I work with leaves with tools they can actually use, and the confidence to use them.
In their words
“We arrived burnt out and ready to give up. Six sessions in, our seven-year-old said ‘Mom you're being so nice lately’ — and meant it.”
“Elinor doesn't give scripts. She helped us understand our daughter, and then everything else followed from there.”
“The text support between sessions was the part I didn't know I needed. It's like having a calm voice in your pocket.”
Writing
Why most boundary-setting fails — and the small reframe that changes everything.
Three sentences I ask parents to delete from their vocabulary this week.
A family case study in 800 words. What changed: less than you'd think.
A 30-minute call. On the house.
Half an hour on the phone, just to talk. By the end of it you'll know whether this is the right next step — or it isn't.
Replies within one business day.
